In case the action filled trailer for TRON: Legacy did not get your heart racing fast enough, Playboywants to make sure it does with this new TRON-inspired pictorial. Featuring 2 of the hottest Playmates, Sasckya Porto of Brazil and Russia’s own Irina Voronina, each with nothing on but strategic tabs of body paint. A few enhancements by photographer Jared Ryder, illustrator Nigel Evan Dennis, and TRON Lightcycle mock up by Parker Brothers Choppers, and the 2 Playmates were immersed into a real-life TRON like battle, with light discs and all. Fresh Celeb: Daft Punk – Balenciaga Suits

In an obvious case of attitude trumps style, Daft Punk resolves the aged sartorial conundrum, “What goes well with chrome helmets at a red carpet function?”, with certain ease. And, apparently the answer to that question is not an LED-prepped, solar-powered space suit, but a gorgeous, blackBalenciaga suits and a lot of flair and attitude. The popular electronic duo, Daft Punk, walked the red carpet for Disney’s TRON: Legacy movie premiere in Los Angeles on December 11, and proved that their signature robot helmets and gloves are no detractions from style. We believe, the only way anyone else could have showed these two up might have been the real Sam Flynn (resurrected from fictional pages into the real world) complete with the lightcycle.

Sneakerpedia – London Launch Party Recap

Last night in London, Sneakerpedia held a launch party to celebrate what will become “The Greatest Sneaker Archiving Project.” A small group of the world’s top collectors were in attendance, who are also the first ‘founding’ members of Sneakerpedia, pre-populating the site with selections from their collection. The launch also brought out two people who are not only among the biggest sneaker personalities in the world, but also two of the best DJ’s in the game: Bobbito Garcia and DJ Clark Kent. For set one, Bobbito set down the tone for the night, for set two, each took turns playing records, and DJ Clark Kent closed the night off with a long set. To quote an attendee at the event, who best summed up the energy of the party: “DJ Clark Kent murdered London….” Some of London’s most serious sneaker enthusiasts were also in attendance, and entry to the event was also an invite into the beta club. But not to worry, we will have a number of invites for our Freshness fans. Stay tuned for that, and for now, check out the photos from the event last night.

No stranger to the prerequisites of Gross Anatomy 101, artist Damien Hirst’s matter-of-fact depictions of death, in various forms, are not only sensational. They force us to confront the frailty of life itself. All the more ideal to have UK-base artist to take part in the CONVERSE PRODUCT(RED) Collection. An off-shoot of PROJECT(RED), portion of the proceeds from the sales ofPRODUCT(RED) merchandises will go to Global Fund, a charity program for the fight against AIDS/HIV in Africa. Initially released 2 months ago, the special Chuck Taylor All-Star with Hirst artwork sold out immediately. Mainly due to the fact Hirst’s works sell for millions on average and the canvas top was the most affordable variant.

In light of World AIDS Day on December 1 st, the newly opened CONVERSE Specialty Store in SoHo, NYC launched some of the last Damien Hirst collaboration. Now available in very limited quantity at the store.
