The Surf/Skate Show showcases the hedonistic and unrestricted tendencies of the surf and skate lifestyle through a multi-medium exhibition incorporating works of various artists and surfers/skaters. Some of the works showcased includes a collage by surf king Tony Caramanico, photographer by Drew Carolan, Lyle Owerko and also limited edition collaborative Supreme skate decks designed by Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons. eS Skateboarding Collabs Diplo + Mad Decent
Mad Decent is the name of the Philadelphia-based record label spearheaded by Wesley Pentz, whose better known as Diplo, the Grammy-nominated producer of M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes.” Diplo also makes up one half of Major Lazer, along with the UK’s Switch. As an influential label that’s home to Blaqstarr (who has also produced many tracks for M.I.A.), South Rakkas Crew, and Rusko (to name a few), Mad Decent is often ahead of the curve in new music. In this collaboration with eS, Diplo’s Erving model features a tonal black upper complimented by lime green hits on the eyelets, laces, and the diplodocus logo stitched on the heel. For the Mad Decent Taido model, a reggae-inspired, yellow, red, and green gradient fade is used on the collar and heel portion of the shoe and on the “GET MAD” logo embossed on the tongue. These drop soon at your local eS retailer, so support progressive independent music and look fresh all at once with these models.

CLOT x Levi's "Black Sun Survivor" Denim Preview
Today we can show you some exclusive first pics of the upcoming collaboration between CLOT and Levi’s on the “Black Sun Survivor” denim. The jeans feature burned elements, along with 3M patches, studs and a lot more. As much as we appreciate CLOT introducing new elemtents on denim, for us personally they seem a little overloaded.
Take a further look at the denim after the jump.

Handmade Daft Punk Helmut
749 steps and 17 months. If you have that kind of time and patience and ingenuity to spare, you could possibly make a life-like Daft Punk helmet as well. Volpin has decided to remake the iconic Daft Punk chrome helmet and replicate it down to the flashing rainbow lights. The whole process is nothing short of painstaking, but it does provide a stunning photo op and garnered Volpin quite some attention on the cyber space. Enjoy the video which traces Volpin’s journey with Daft Punk’s helmet. We can only say, this is another time when the web seem to have inspired ridiculous creativity.

Andy Warhol X Dom Pérignon A Tribute To Andy Warhol By Dom Pérignon

Andy Warhol x Dom Pérignon A Tribute To Andy Warhol by Dom Pérignon
Andy Warhol had a thought (in actual fact, he had more than just one) and he wasn’t afraid to convey it. Before Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons came along, contemporary art’s household bad boy, was none other than the great and late Andy Warhol. While his silkscreen images of Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn Diptych and Campbell Soup Cans are one of the most pervasive art images around, when he first transgressed outside commercial art, inspired by other Pop Art movement key figures such as Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg, he shocked and offended some by offering an alternative point of view on art– that art doesn’t necessarily have to be a mean to convey intimate emotions. Warhol blurred the lines between commercialism and art, and his signature silk-screen methods dethroned the concept that art is singular and rare.
Sure, Warhol was le enfant terrible when it comes to creating art, but in real life, when he is not sculpting or painting or printing, he was most often spotted at parties. And, he is one of the rare forerunners of artists (Jeff Koons would follow suit) who has established himself as a cult figure and social butterfly. A big fan of parties, Warhol was a frequent purveyor of the legendary Studio 54, and as he has once mentioned, one of his favorite things to do is to drink Dom Pérignon with his friends there.
One of Warhol’s favorite stories about Dom Pérignon was when he and his friends founded the “2,000″ club– a group of 20 people coming together to purchase 2,000 bottles of Dom Pérignon and will be drinking them together to celebrate the millennium. For them, the running joke was who would be around to drink it, but sadly, Warhol wasn’t there to celebrate the millennium by popping a copious amount of champagne.
As a tribute to one of the most influential artists and cultural figure, Dom Pérignon has teamed up with the Andy Warhol Foundation and enlisted the help of the Design Laboratory at Central St. Martin’s School of Art and Design to reinterpret the timeless Dom Pérignon bottle. Of course, Warhol’s colorful silk screen touches have been adopted to made over these bottles. The collection of bottles will be vintage 2002 Dom Pérignon champagne, and will come in three colors– red, blue and yellow. The collection is limited in run, and will be available for the public starting October 15 at fine purveyors across the nation.
Enjoy a video created for this collaborative collection, and remember, while Warhol does champion that art can be replicated, this may be the only way that one can come as close to partying like Warhol.
