visvim is known for taking Native American influences into their designs, but this time, the Japanese label known for bringing the world some of the most coveted footwear is taking their inspiration from a little bit further south this season. The new Kiefer Hi Mayan Suede features a ring of colorful weave around the ankle, perhaps inspired by the colors of the Mexican Mayan, adding just the right pop of energy to the simple suede hi-top sneakers.
As with all visvim shoes, these are vegetable tanned and not meant to be worn with socks. Pair with mid-thigh shorts (and yes, shorts can be cuffed too!) and a simple white t-shirt for a pulled-together, summer look. Just add some shades to cap everything off. We recommend some classic Frogskins or Wayfarers.
