Beastie Boys – Adam “MCA” Yauch Recovering From Cancer, New Projects Set For 2011
Little over an year since pioneering hip hop trio Beastie Boys put everything on hold after Adam “MCA” Yauch’s cancer diagnosis. Now comes news of several projects currently in the works. In a recent interview with England’s BBC: Radio 1, Mike D of the group talked of Adam Yauch’s recovery from cancer treatment and several plans for the year 2011. Though undecided on whether the group will tour this year, Mike D confirmed that part 2 of Hot Sauce Committee double albums would release in Spring of 2011. The trio will finish part 1, which was on hold following Yauch’s illness, later this year. The band also finished a short film selected to be in this month’s Sundance Film Festival. The film, Fight For Your Right Revisited, will include a star studded cast with Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Jack Black.
