Nixon – The Sentry

Nixon continues on its reign of the action sports watch segment by pushing out one strong design after another. The Sentry is such model that it appeals to many with its classic minimalist design, and great use of material and color. All black watches are not uncommon in the Nixon range, as many models get the fully blacked-out treatment. However this version features red day/date display to give it a distinct character. On top of that the PU wrist band makes the watch wearable for casual and formal occasions. Stainless steel casing is cool in matte black finish and it is currently available at Nixon stockists worldwide.

Didn’t quite get enough of Casio G-Shock collaboration 

action from G-Shock and IN4MATION’s latest venture, 

and would like something a little more playful added 

to the G-Shock’s tough side? G-Shock and LEGO 

accessories making twins Dee & Ricky have partnered 

up to bring a little childhood nostalgia into the rather 

grown-up mix of all-resistance. The duo’s collaboration 

is based on G-Shock’s analog/digital mode, the 

GA-110 and this is also the first time the GA-110 

has been used in a joint partnership.

While one might have expected something a little 

more flamboyant and wild from Dee & Ricky, who 

are known for their tendency for ostentatious play 

and boundless imagination, the watch is surprisingly, 

just the right balance of color, fun and cool subtlety. 

Instead of going from outrageous shapes, the duo 

decided to draw inspiration from the building blocks 

of their eponymous label, and rework components of 

the watch in LEGO shades and shapes. Primary colors 

that we are used to from LEGO? Check. The dotty LEGO 

grooves? Check. Dee & Ricky logo on strap and engraved 

on back? Double check.

The Dee & Ricky x Casio G-Shock GA-110 has just been 

unveiled at jewelry and watch trade show, JCK, in 

Las Vegas today, and will be hitting stores very soon, 

priced at $130 per piece. Take a first look and stay

Nixon – The Chronicle All Black/Wood

Nixon have come up with an all new version of The 

Chronicle time piece and have ventured into using 

a new material that works very well. A classic 

combination of wood and stainless steel creates 

an unique look that is mature and highly wearable. 

Light wooden face features embossed dials and a 

date dial on the left. Swiss movement is used for 

this model as well and the minute and hour hands 

are made in the same matte silver color. Black leather 

bands are packaged together that aids the mature 

aesthetic. This is a great piece that can tell time but 

at the same time make a subtle statement with its 

distinct design elements.

The 51-30 is a popular model from Nixon and its Chrono line
have been added with a new colorway. The Leather Bone is
a mature piece that uses bone leather on the wrist band
that give it a formal aesthetic. Matching the wrist band is
the large face in bone color as well accented by black
dials and yellow second hand. Stainless steel Bezel and
casing is matte black in color weighing down the watch.
It is still equipped with its standard functions such as
count down timer, stop watch, date display, Japanese
movement and water resistance to 300m.

BAPE – BAPEX 3 Chrono

Coincidence or not, BAPE (A Bathing Ape) made the decision to release the newest addition to its timepiece collection towards the end of BASELWORLD, the world’s largest luxury watch tradeshow. The first in chronograph form, the watch, dubbed BAPEX 3, embodied all the functions of simple chronograph complications – stop watch, functional bezel with units, and more… with a humorous statement of “Made By Human” imprinted on the dial. Encased in an aluminum alloy casing, the watch is resistant to water and minor scratches. Comes in a solid polished black or silver/black design, accompanied by BAPE Camouflage Cloth Case made for it exclusively. The BAPEX 3 Chronograph is now for sale at all BAPE boutiques in Japan, its BAPE LAND online store, and soon at its international location.
