MASTERPIECE X Irie Life – Mods Coat
Both MASTERPIECE and Irie Life are not only inspired by reggae music, but the founders of each brand live the reggae lifestyle by actively participating and organizing reggae events. The Irie Life brand is run by members of the two largest reggae units, Sami-T from Mighty Crown and Jun 4 Shot from Fireball, and thus is one of the most active in organizing such reggatons. What appears to be a standard Mods Coat in black and camouflage is accented with reflective strips on the front zipper cover, and a large ‘I’ shape on the back. However, the surprise is on the inside of the jacket, where the inner lining features a custom designed textile by Irie Life. It is a urban building landscape with musicians standing at the window.
